Millions Against Monsanto-Take Action-Truth In Labelling
Millions Against Monsanto
From the Link:
While the national Millions Against Monsanto campaign staff gears up for our October 2011 day of action, pledging to make it the biggest nationwide day of action on genetic engineering in US history, local Millions Against Monsanto activists are staging a demonstration at the White House this month, March 26, 2011, and they're urging activists around the country to "Rally for the Right to Know" locally. Millions Against Monsanto Action Summits at the 2011 Green Festivals
Join Organic Consumers Association's political director, Alexis Baden-Mayer, and your fellow Millions Against Monsanto activists for regional summits at the 2011 Green Festivals. Let's meet face-to-face to brainstorm and solidify ideas for the Truth-in-Labeling campaign. Then, let's take Millions Against Monsanto out of the Green Festivals and into the streets at actions targeting grocery stores that sell unlabeled genetically engineered foods. Gather your family and friends, hatch your most ingenious schemes, bring costumes, music, instruments, noise-makers, props, signs, banners, leaflets & cameras, come for a long weekend, and be prepared to take action!

_______________
Americans will be mobilizing across the country to say NO to unlabelled foods that contain GMOs. It is our right to know what we are eating and we are taking action. The time is now to take control of our food and that means taking it to the grocers in your neighborhood. Substantial equivalence can no longer be used as a reason to keep rightful disclosure from consumers.
Corporate loopholes designed to safeguard profits rather than caring about health and environment have brought our healthcare system and environment to the abyss. We must stop this greed from taking us to the point of no return while there is still time. I will be participating on October 16, 2011, World Food Day and speaking out until then as well as boycotting GMOS.
Please join this fight to protect biodiversity and your right to know.

Start your own 100% organic garden and refuse to buy your veggies even from farmers markets. It's the only way to be sure and is the best form of dissent, short of blowing up every monsanto office and headquarters.
ReplyDeleteJan,
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this. I am planning a retreat workshop schedule and would like to have someone talk about Monsanto/GMO. Can you, or someone you know of, speak to this topic? If not, can you suggest where I could look?
